Peacefully on the morning of May 12, 2018 at the Villa Care Facility, in Midland, Ontario in his 71st year, Jean-Guy Camirand passed away after a long battle with Parkinson Disease. Cherished husband of Ruth Camirand (Murray) for 49 years, devoted father of Sonia Jefferies (Chad), loving Papa to Kiara and Cameron. Loving son of the late Roland and Francoise Camirand. Jean-Guy will be sadly missed by his sister’s, Anita Loder (Bert), Simone Bourcier (Joe), Annette Camirand, Bernise Audet (Michel), Lori-Anne Murray (Toby), brother’s Norbert Camirand (Lena), Norman Camirand (Barb) and Michel Camirand (Rose), sister-in-laws, Lorraine MacKnight (Keith), Rubena Price (Stan), Edna Price (Robert), Eunice Eger, Janice Russell (Blake) and brother-in-laws, Alden Murray (Theresa), John Murray (Opal), Willard Murray (Eleanore & Kelly), Lee Murray (Darlene), Ralph Murray (Lorraine) and Neil Murray (Barb). As well as a number of nieces and nephews and many dear friends. The family would like to thank the many ambulance drivers, nurses, and doctors at the Georgian Bay General Hospital. A special thank you goes out to Dr. Jeff Golisky. A Celebration of Life for Jean-Guy Camirand will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 1pm-5pm at Saint-Marie Among the Hurons Restaurant, located at 16164 Hwy 12, Midland, Ontario. All are welcome to stop by any time and please feel free to wear blue jeans or something red as Jean-Guy missed being able to wear his jeans and red was his favourite colour.
